I stayed at the crown plaza because of its location as i/we were visiting the m.e.n. The room was smaller than expected. There was a tray full of dirty dishes sat outside the room beside us that stayed there the duration of our visit. I saw no staff attempt to move it.
Staff were shoddy leaving trays of dirty dishes lying about for a full day!

We went to see Peter Kay at the MEN and the hotel was in a brilliant location. would definitely stay there again
Our room was a disabled one and there were red emergency cords everywhere. Didn't bother us on this occassion but wouldn't have been very nice for a romantic weekend!

The speed & efficiency of the check in/out service was excellent & the quietness of the corridors ensured a nice lie in

The rooms were a lovely size and the beds were very comfortable, and the pillows were fantastic. The breakfast was lovely and everything was explained and very easy to find. Staff were very friendly and it's just a stones throw away from the excellent city centre and very well located if you are going to see anything at the MEN arena, as it is just a five minute walk
-
the central location the room was clean and very comfortable but best of all were the staff especialy the restaurant manager at breakfast who was very efficient and controlled the room perfectly
-
Comfortable bed, staff helpful, good location

-
Fantastic bedrooms, comfortable bed, minibar, friendly staff
-
The beds were extremely comfortable and excellent location - about 2 minutes walk from the Arondale shopping centre and 5 minute walk from printworks.

Attention to detail and pleasant decor. Lovely restaurant - good food - good value.
Room No 106 - Air conditioning was blasting cold air into my room on arrival. There was a smell of stale smoke in my room on arrival - perhaps why the air con was on? TV was already on in the room - waste of electricity . I couldn't see a heater in the room to heat the room up. Duvet was wafer thin and there was no extra blanket in the cupboards - I was very cold and had an uncomfortable night. The adjustable temperature knob of the shower in the bathroom did not stay on the temperature I selected - it kept on turning back to scolding! I think/hope I was unfortunate with my room only - dissapointing since it is such a lovely hotel which I would recommend if I knew that the issues I have raised above were an oversight and will be corrected.
